Like many,I was introduced to the character through the movies.Although I loved the movie and was vaguely familiar with Mike Mignola's art,I never actually looked through his work on Hellboy.

Now that I have,I see what a true genius he is.A fantastic storyteller and artist.

To get the sculpted look I wanted,I've used a Mignola Hellboy figure as reference.I hope I can get my hands on it someday.Effing beautiful thing.

*edit-I've corrected the composition and his fist a bit as suggested by =dasAdam and it has made a world of difference.
